Pierce August is a singer-songwriter with a restless soul, his music lives somewhere between mountain air and saltwater nights—gritty, yet reflective.  Pierce is down in the keys after over a decade in Aspen, Colorado, where he built a 5 piece band—Sittin’ on Strings—a loose collective of friends that became a fixture in Colorado’s mountain music scene. The band served as the house act at Snowmass Tavern, sold out the Belly Up Aspen, and opened for Futurebirds at the Basalt Concert Series in 2024.  Now based in the Florida Keys, he spends his days poling his flats boat and his nights writing and performing songs shaped by everything he’s lived—heartbreak and freedom, mountains and tide charts, stillness and motion.  His debut release, “Come Down South,” is both an invitation and a reckoning: a call to old mountain friends to see the life he’s building now, and proof that sometimes the best songs come from choosing the long way around.
