OUR STORY

Walking into the Hog’s Breath Saloon in Key West is like finding an oasis, a welcoming spot where the drinks flow as freely as the laughter. Founded in 1976 by Jerry Dorminy, who opened the doors of the first Hog’s Breath in Ft. Walton Beach, FL, before bringing the magic down to Key West in 1988. Jerry understood for the place to become legendary, it had to be a haven for all.

The Hogs Breath is an eclectic mix of locals, tourists, and a few curious wanderers who swear they only popped in for one drink, but end up staying until they’re swaying to the last encore. The air is thick with the aroma of tasty treats and sizzling seafood, and every so often, a salty breeze from the nearby ocean cuts through the heat, making you feel like you’ve found your own little slice of paradise. Open to everyone from toddlers dancing to the beat, to grizzled seafarers recounting their latest adventures, it’s a place where age is but a number, and everyone is family.
